Handwoven sash belt by Hishuk
This handwoven waist belt is a long braided traditional sash with tassels, a wedding accessory, a unique ladies gift. It is made with blue, green and off white fine cotton yarns.
This belt is made with a pick-up weaving technique, on Hishuk's inkle loom, which can create complex patterns. It’s called “pick-up” because row after row it needs to lift up or drop certain threads. This is a very slow process but it creates a wonderful result.

Handmade Woven Belt
Hand wash gently with mild detergent and dry flat in shade.
Cotton yarns have been chosen for their lightweight, strong, durable, breathable and machine-washable qualities.
All the yarns are of high quality and Greek origin.
