Hishuk

Cleo Liaki is the creator behind the artistic brand, “Hishuk”, which was named after the Nuu-chah-nulth philosophy of "hishuk’ish tsawalk" – "everything is one". She studied commercial photography and folklore reportage (1989-1992) and was a contemporary dancer until 2018. She created later on experimental jewelry, mainly using natural materials.

Today, Cleo creates crochet bags, accessories, clothes and other works, using knitting techniques and the loom. Unconventional design and boldness are characteristic elements of her work.
