Leathercraft

Panagiotis Drakopoulos was born in Athens in 1981. He enrolled in the Electrical Engineering department of the Technological Educational Institute of Chalkida, but decided to follow his passion for design. Between 2006 and 2007 he studied Graphic Design at the Vakalo Art and Design College. While working at a family business, he started studying Leather Products Design at the Askardamykti Creativity Campus. After completing his studies, he created the Parnès brand. Within a year, the workshop was established at the commercial center of Athens.

Yannis Drakopoulos was born in Athens in 1984. He studied Visual and Applied Arts at the Fine Arts School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2007-2012), where he graduated with honours. In 2014 he decided to further his education with a Master’s Degree in Museology-Cultural Management at the School of Architecture of the same university. Since 2016 he has been collaborating with NEON cultural organization, taking part in guided tours and educational programs. Searching for new media of expression through visual design, he decided to turn to the silkscreen technique, attending a seminar in the summer of 2019. Given his background in design and his silkscreen printing skills, he decided to collaborate join his brother at his enterprise, in order to aesthetically enhance both the products and the brand.
