Christina Sylvia Simantira

Christina Sylvia Simantira is a Greek-German artist, who lives and works in Athens. She graduated with honors from the Department of German Language and Literature (University of Athens), and from the First Painting Laboratory (Athens School of Fine Arts), under professors A. Antonopoulos and M. Merabeliotis, also with honors.

With a scholarship from the Greek State Scholarship Foundation (IKY), she studied at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee and her works have been presented in several private and public galleries, e.g. Kappatos Gallery, Agathi-Kartalos Gallery, Gallery Of The Cyclades, Piraeus Municipal Art Gallery.

She has also been distinguished for her work by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and "Nephroiatriki" Nephrology Center, in collaboration with the Athens School of Fine Arts. At the same time she teaches at the German School of Athens.
