by Stella Christofi
oil on canvas
60 x 70 cm
Christofi explores the meaning of space in terms of form. The transformation of the real into the two-dimensional raises questions during the alternation of materials. She paints physical phenomena, where the natural and geological environment is obvious, exploring contemporary aspects of landscape-painting. The image captures the energy of the light and becomes a snapshot of different daily moments affected by light or weather conditions.
