One of the major impacts this pandemic has had is altering our connection to external spaces and compromising the ability to commute freely. As a reaction to the repercussions of lockdown, the ‘Otoconia’ paintings emerged as atmospheric, open chromatic spaces in biomorphic sceneries. They act as an invitation to the viewer to have a dialogue about how abstraction can escape the estrangement of its own subjectivity in order to act as a territory of belonging.
