Assyrtiko Night
Six volcanic whites from Santorini, paired with six small plates from the sea. Hosted by our head sommelier.
In the lanes of Psyrri, we cook by a few unbreakable rules: Greek producers only, the season decides the menu, and nothing leaves the kitchen we wouldn't serve our grandmothers.
Every dish, every bottle and every evening at Athens Dogma follows the same four tenets.
Every ingredient and every wine comes from Greek farms, fishermen and wineries we know by name.
Our menu changes with the market at Varvakios, sometimes weekly, sometimes daily.
Olive-wood grill, clay pots and eight-hour roasts. Nothing rushed, nothing frozen.
Plates go to the middle of the table. That's how Greeks eat, and how we serve.
Athens Dogma began as a Sunday supper club in a Koukaki apartment in 2019. Guests came for yiayia's recipes and stayed for the arguments about how to improve them.
Today we cook in a restored 1920s workshop in Psyrri, with an open kitchen, a courtyard under the vines and a cellar of 180 Greek wines, most of them from small producers you won't find abroad.
The kind of place Athenians try to keep secret. Smoky octopus, a retsina that changes your mind, and a courtyard you won't want to leave.A regular guest, since 2022
