Petros Maipas

Petros Maipas (b. 1970), is a self-taught painter who lives and works in Athens.

He graduated in 1998 from AKTO art & design and since 1999 he has been working in advertising as an art director and designer. He has received significant distinctions in advertising and design competitions.

He presented his first solo exhibition in 2016 (MAPA 2016 - Area 364). His work is partly influenced by visual communication, and offers, mainly in an iconographic way, a different perspective of everyday images and situations.

Works of his can be found in private collections in Athens and other parts of Greece.
