Io Mathianaki

Io Mathianaki was born in 1990 in Athens and grew up in Volos.

She has studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts, initially at the Department of Art Theory and History (2008-2013) and then at the Department of Visual Arts in the fields of sculpture and painting (2014-2019). As part of her studies she also attended courses in mosaics and ceramics.

She has been engaged in making sets and costumes, illustrating children’s books and teaching drawing and painting. Since 2014 she has been participating in exhibitions.
