George Pastakas

Painting

George Pastakas was born in Florina in 1956. He studied painting at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in London UK. He has participated in numerous exhibitions around the world and his work can be found in public and private collections.

Reference to his work can be found in the Dictionary of Greek Artists. He works and lives in Athens. He has collaborated with the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the Greek Ministry of Culture and the Piraeus Bank Cultural Foundation among others, and his work has been presented globally.

Pastakas’ work is mainly anthropocentric and always interwoven with the web of history. In all his exhibitions that took place either abroad, such as in Paris, Brussels and Stuttgart, or in Greece, the main theme was always based on the historical element.
