Original and uniquely designed minimalist earrings in geometric form from the “Panspermia collection”. They are entirely hand made from 925 sterling silver with a superb gold plated matte finish.
 
The inspiration for the “Panspermia collection” was the wheat. It was designed for the exhibition “Fruits and Symbols” at the Numismatic Museum of Athens, as a visual conversation between prominent examples of ancient coinage and contemporary jewelry.
 
Nature, the labor of the earth and the fruit production are concepts inherent in the instinct of survival. The wheat represents for the designer an ancient fruit / symbol of human survival, which in the Greek tradition of her homeland was connected with the great summer feast of “Theros”, the ritual and the customs of the harvest. Also, in ancient Greek religion, precious wheat is the symbol of goddess Demetra, who gave people the fruits of the earth.
